Improving the peruvian farmers quality of life

Life for many families in the remote high Andes is harsh—they struggle to meet produce enough food to eat, and have little opportunity to improve their situation. Furthermore, due to the climate change's increasing effects, families in the high Andes are experiencing winters of increasing intensity and sudden cold. http://practicalaction.org/alpaca-shelters-1

To help them we are working in partnership with the association Practical action. It is an organization that collects funds to help eradicate poverty around the world. What do we do to help the Peruvian community?

Practical Action is working with 600 camelid farmers (25% of whom are women) in two regions of Peru, Ayacucho and Apurimac, and with at least 330 local government officials from the two regions, helping 30,375 men and women to increase their incomes and ensure their  food security.    

It will achieve this by:

• Improving farmers’ skills and knowledge in camelid productivity, management of natural resources, and climate change adaptation. 
• Organizing knowledge sharing workshops for the farmer
• Improving farmers’ knowledge and ability to access markets. 
• Working with 25 local producer associations to strengthen the productivity and efficiency
• Increasing local government skills in rural development planning and their understanding of what is preventing camelid farmers from making a reasonable living from camelid production.

As a result of the project, the following impacts are expected to be achieved: 

• At least 800 families increase their incomes by 20% and are able to ensure they can feed their families 
• Over 1600 families improve their livestock’s health through using the ‘kamayoqs’ services 
• Almost half of the families are able to better protect their livestock as a result of great awareness of climate change adaptation technologies 
• With increased influence, through the strengthened producer groups, a greater number of camelid products are promoted by the government

News about the investigations

After nearly a week of investigation, I am pleased to inform you that we have found the source of the hacking!

It seems that the hacking has been made by an employee of one of our competitors. We don’t know yet if he did it on his own initiative or if the board of directors was aware. Before deciding if we go for a trial we are waiting to have more information. This employee is under arrest for the moment and is questioning by the police right now.

We remind everybody that stealing the identity of someone on Internet, even on Facebook following the Lopsi 2 law ratified in march 2011 is punishable by a year in prison and a fine of € 15,000. The press conference

As promised, here is a summary of the various points I raised, at the press conference that just ended: 

First, under the name of the company I really apologize for this problem that we all hope will be solved soon. 

We are still working in close partnership with the authorities to find more about the database hacking. A special team has been created to help them and create a 100% cooperation. Like you, we are impatient to find who has done this and why. 

Then we already started working with the company SafR&SafR, they are scanning our system to analyze it and tailor an efficient and complete solution, so we will have an optimize IT system with a very strong security. 

Because we recognize that we are in part responsible for what happened, a voucher of compensation will be send to the customers who received the emails. Then a meeting with our partners will be established in the next few days, to explain more clearly and re-insure them about the financial situation of the company.

Bankruptcy rumors

To answer the information that are actually circulating in the media and on internet we would like to inform you about what happened exactly between the october 22th and the 25th. 

We are sorry to hear that during, these 3 days, e-mails have been sent from myself, the CEO of the company, stipulating that our company is close to bankruptcy. 

The contents of these messages is false 

As a matter of fact the my e-mail address has been hacked. 

We apologize for the inconvenience and we are actually doing everything we can, first, to find the source of the fraudulent e-mails and second, to control and improve our IT system. 

We don’t understand how and why this can happened as we followed all the laws concerning internet, and we invested in a strong and already well-known for its efficacy, security system. 

Today all the information has been moved to another platform, but the investigation of the hacking police continues to know the source of this law infringement and if the database has been copied or sold. 

To avoid this kind of problems in the future and better protect your information we have already asked the company SafR&SafR specialized in internet security system, to sign a contract us with, the objective is to create a better and more secure system. 

To show you our good faith and because we want you to trust us, we have decided to stay transparent with you has we always have been with you and soon we will provide you in our company website the proof of the good wealth of Nefairtiti, document that will be certified by our bank and the government.
